Alexandria, VA (July 20, 2009) – The National Business Travel Association (NBTA) today announced that it will present Donna Kelliher, GLP, CTC, with the 2009 President’s Award at the International NBTA Convention & Exposition on Aug 24 in San Diego. The President’s Award is presented each year by the NBTA President to recognize the outstanding contributions of an NBTA Direct Member who provides leadership and vision within NBTA and helps to advance the travel management industry.
Kelliher, Director of Travel & Corporate Services at Dominion, a leading U.S. provider of commodity energy and energy services, has been a dedicated member of NBTA for nearly 10 years. She is currently a member of the NBTA Technology Committee, after having chaired the committee from 2006 to 2008. Actively involved in career enhancement efforts, Kelliher also serves as an expert speaker and presenter for several NBTA programs and has attended multiple international NBTA events, including the past five annual Conventions.

Kelliher has been in the business travel industry for more than 30 years, 22 of which have been spent at Dominion in Richmond, Virginia, where she is responsible for corporate travel management, including aviation and logistics for emergency response programs. She also sits on the Advisory Board for Virginian’s for High-Speed Rail and is the Chair of Richmond’s Air Service Task Force. Kelliher was the recipient of the Business Travel News Travel Manager of the Year in 2007, was honored with one of the first Richmond International Airport Navigator Awards, has been named one of the Top 25 Most Influential Executives of the Business Travel Industry by Business Travel News.
